Audrey J. Roberts, MD, IBCLC, FABM
Vice President
Dr. Roberts is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Certified Lactation Consultant, and a Fellow of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She has been passionate about breastfeeding science since the first month of her OB/Gyn residency training in 2013. Since then, Dr. Roberts has enjoyed offering lactation-specific care to her patients in Michigan, Utah, Nevada, and now Arizona. Originally from Ohio, she and her spouse moved to Flagstaff in 2022. They have two young girls, Corinne and Brynja, who are just twelve months apart. Despite years of dedicated training in lactation, Dr. Roberts was humbled and awed by how hard it was to breastfeed her own children! She believes that all women deserve lactation support and care.

Danika Danker, MA
Secretary
Danika is a community resource coordinator, birth to five specialist, and an aspiring Occupational Therapy Student. She holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable Communities from NAU and previously studied at Messiah University in Grantham, PA, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Danika has fallen in love with the sounds, cultures, flavors, and families of Flagstaff. It is her honor to call this town both her home and the birthplace of her daughters. “E” was born at Flagstaff Birth and Women’s Center in 2018, and “C” was born at FMC in 2022.

Lauren Hayward, MD
Treasurer
Dr. Hayward is a local pediatrician at Mountain View Pediatrics. Her love for learning kicked off at the University of California, Berkeley where she studied Integrative Biology and became interested in reproductive health and medicine. Dr. Hayward attended Tulane University School of Medicine with the intent of working with women and children, and she did research in the area of breastfeeding and health disparities in Louisiana. Pediatrics seemed to perfectly combine her passions, and she spent her residency training at the University of California, San Francisco.

Maya Radoccia-Kennen, MSW, IBCLC
Director, Lactation Consultant
Maya’s clinical experience first began as a social worker and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for at-risk families in rural Arizona. As a mother of 3 children, she has experienced the many joys and challenges of breastfeeding, which inspired her to change careers and become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Maya began practicing as an IBCLC at Flagstaff Medical Center in 2010, and opened a private practice shortly after. In 2019, Maya co-founded High Country Lactation Care, Inc., which is now located at the Flagstaff Birth Collective.

Amanda Maurer, MFA, CBS, PPD
Fundraising, Lactation Specialist
Amanda earned her master’s degree in the arts, but she decided to switch careers after the birth of her son. She received her certified breastfeeding specialist license and her postpartum doula license, and is currently working towards her IBCLC. After the birth of her son, Amanda realized the lack of support most birthing people have postpartum and decided to focus on filling that space. She believes in the healing and medicinal properties of human milk, and views it as a privilege to teach people about human milk feeding. Amanda facilitates the Nursing Nook support group at High Country Lactation Care, works with the Flagstaff Birth Support Fund, and runs a private practice.

Dani LaVoire LM, CPM, IBCLC
Midwife, Lactation Consultant
Dani began working in lactation care in the late 1990s when she was training to become a licensed and certified home birth midwife. With decades of experience working with new and growing families Dani brings patience, calm and wisdom to breastfeeding challenges. Dani is a mother of 4 and, even as a lactation educator, was amazed and humbled by the varying experiences she had with each child. She founded the Midwives & Wellness Collective, a collaborative space full of resources for families in Prescott, AZ. She also runs her midwifery, clinical herbalism and lactation care service- Arizona Highlands Midwifery- from that beautiful and cozy location. She became an IBCLC in 2022.
